First complete review of Windows Mobile Crossbow Pocket PC Phone Edition - published November 21, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Final version of Crossbow is going to manufacturers this year yet (this review probably is originated from one of manufacturers that already got Crossbow) and in first half of 2007 we will see first devices. In 2008 Photon is coming that will unite smartphone and Pocket PC into one platform. The lifespan of Crossbow therefore seems a bit short, but obviously new features are worth upgrading... Regarding numbering, we are not certain of "6.0" version for Crossbow - it may be Windows Mobile 5.0 Second Edition - or anything else yet... Launch of devices based on Windows Mobile Crossbow will strengthen Microsoft’s position on the market of enterprise devices, as Windows Mobile-powered solutions, sooner or later, will be treated as complementary products with MS Exchange. Most of new features found in the new operating system are targeted at providing smoother integration with MS Exchange 2007. The list of major changes introduced in Windows Mobile 6.0 for Pocket PC:
