i-mate launches two new Windows Mobile Pocket PC phones
i-mate JAQ3 and PDAL make their debut

i-mate the specialist in Windows Mobile devices and solutions, is now further extending its product portfolio with the launch of two new products to continue satisfying the needs and preferences of its thriving customer base. In line with the strategy of offering more mid-range Windows Mobile devices that appeal to a wider audience, the JAQ3 and PDAL both deliver the many familiar applications of Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC at a lower price point.

Commenting on the launch Robin Bowler Global Marketing Director at i-mate said: ”Both the i-mate JAQ3 and PDAL will appeal to anyone who uses a Microsoft based PC at home or work, and who want to work and play on the move. Their familiar Windows Mobile-based user interface is intuitively simple and integrates seamlessly with the Windows PC operating system. Add to that the range of functionality options, the highly competitive pricing, and i-mate’s comprehensive range of value added services and support, and you’ve got a very compelling proposition for professionals and consumers alike.”

Both devices boast GPRS, EDGE and high-speed Wi-fi connectivity for excellent data download rates and a truly satisfying push email experience, that extends to attachments for opening and real-time working.

This duo of devices has been designed with user preferences in mind, and as a pair, offer the fundamental choice of a messaging form factor, or a classic PDA-style device. The i-mate JAQ3 has a full QWERTY keyboard, five direction-control buttons and scroll wheel allow for easy navigation and use of services including email. Furthermore, the landscape 2.4” colored touch screen supports the use of the stylus as an increasingly popular means of accessing and writing email and messages. This stylus functionality is of course also a key part of the PDAL, experience, as this is the latest model in i-mate’s classic PDA range. This stylish and compact device is one of the lightest PDA’s in the marketplace and also features a 5-way navigation pad. The PDAL has the option of portrait or landscape orientation so applications can be viewed to the user’s preference. Presented in a sleek black and silver casing, with stylishly curved corners, the PDAL delivers a satisfying touch screen experience from its resilient and vibrant touch screen.

As with the other i-mate devices in the portfolio, these devices deliver the benefits of Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC including Windows Mobile Direct Push Email for instant access to emails including attachments, MSN Mobile including Hotmail and MSN Messenger access, Microsoft Office Mobile, Windows Media Player Mobile 10 and Internet Explorer Mobile. Both JAQ3 and PDAL also boast a 2.0 Mega Pixel camera/video as well as Club i-mate value added services and customer support – www.clubimate.com
