HTC Herald Pocket PC phone available commercially and many reviews published December 08, 2006 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. The thinnest Pocket PC phone from HTC with slide-out keyboard went silently (without major announcements from HTC) on sale and is now available commercially!
HTC Herald aka HTC P4350 may have no 3G, but it is thin, has slide-out keyboard, built-in Wi-Fi, and has fascinating auto-sliding mechanism that switches the phone on, and generally is designed to be a cheap mass market phone. In other words: it is a very good candidate for your next phone, if you don't care about 3G! A quote from a review of HTC Herald: I really like this device, it offers the slim design of the SPV M600 whilst offering the functionality of the slide-out QWERTY keyboard usually found on far thicker devices. Having used the HTC Hermes (in it’s SPV M3100 guise) as my main device in recent months I have grown accustomed to data entry using such a mechanism, as such its inclusion on the HTC P4350 is a big plus point for me, it makes the process of data entry simple and also provides that added wow-factor which we all know makes the difference when showing off your phone to your friends and family! Official home page of HTC P4350 is here (you can find there exact specifications and more information - all official from HTC).
