SlingPlayer Mobile BETA for smartphones with horizontal display available December 12, 2006 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Previously we published review of SlingPlayer Mobile and also reviewed usage of SlingPlayer Mobile over 3G cellular network. SlingBox in combination with SlingPlayer Mobile are the best solution for mobile TV on the market! T-Mobile Dash and Samsung BlackJack - both equipped in horizontal display - are increasingly popular in USA and naturally people want to watch TV remotely through their Slingbox with these new phones, so it is good news that Sling Media is working on it: Beta Program Manager at Sling Media, announced that the beta software update for Dash/Excaliber Smartphones running SlingPlayer Mobile is now available to all users. The update improves compatibility with these particular phones, including optimizations for the screen's resolution. The update is available through open enrollment in the private beta program. The Samsung Blackjack is also an oddball in the Smartphone area, and according to Sharon, an update will be going into private beta soon.
