Microsoft smartphone - one of the 20 Most Innovative Products of the Year 2006 December 28, 2006 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Samsung BlackJack has no Wi-Fi, so it is T-Mobile Dash smartphone that managed to get on the list of the most innovative products of the year! Interestingly not even one Symbian phone is on that list... The slim Motorola Q brought a usable QWERTY keyboard to Windows Mobile smart phones--and then the T-Mobile Dash came along and got the rest of the package right. Combining a stylish, superthin design with sculpted keys that correct the deficiencies we found on the Q, and offering both cellular service and integrated wireless capabilities, the Dash makes a great impression. You also get a 1.3-megapixel camera and a miniSD slot for expansion in this 4.2-ounce handset, and it's an affordable $250 with a two-year contract. In year 2007 (in February) Nokia N95 with 5 megapixel camera and built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, Bluetooth, etc... is being released and everything may yet change in the smartphone market - particularly because Windows Mobile phones (still) have very poor cameras (only 2 megapixel, no auto-focus, no high-quality lenses, video recording with low frame rate below 30 fps and only in low resolution)... but for now Windows Mobile is number one in smartphone market in USA!
