Dopod announces its own incarnation of HTC Athena - U1000 January 31, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Interestingly although Dopod is present at various countries in Asia and Oceania it is Dodod Taiwan that is breaking up the news about Dopod U1000 and reveals some information not seen before (for example: HTC Athena supports SDHC !!!). 
Interestingly now device categories according to HTC (that owns Dopod) are: Sub note, PDA Phone, GPS PDA, SmartPhone! In other words: "Sub note" - the Dopod U1000 has been added. Some ighlights about Dopod U1000 (coming directly from Dopod):
Clearly HTC is ahead of competition in Windows Mobile camp - not only when it comes to sales but also in the area of features! The only weak area of HTC are poor quality cameras but HTC Athena may be pioneer in this area and mark the breakthrough: it features 3 megapixel camera with autofocus!
