Palm starts selling Treo 750 in Europe without v in name and with explicit HSDPA support February 05, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. The times when Treo 750 was sold in half-baked mode - without HSDPA support - are over! While Vodafone version is called "Treo 750v" the new version is called "Treo 750" (without "v") and HSDPA is explicitly supported and mentioned by Palm officially! Clearly exclusivity of Treo 750 for Vodafone has ended (in USA Treo 750 still is exclusive to Cingular) and it means that Treo 750 can be now purchased also without contract and with explicitly support for HSDPA: Radio GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPDA radio, GSM bands: 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS bands: 850/1900/2100 ... as you can see in above quote from the specifications. To learn more see here (specifications), here (British home page) or here (German home page with explicit mention of HSDPA in big letters!). More information about this phone: The Palm Treo 750 smartphone helps you stay connected on your terms. It combines phone, email, messaging, web, and Windows Mobile with Palm enhancements that make it easier than ever to stay productive1. Receive email from multiple business or personal accounts1. Access the web right from where you're standing on fast, 3G networks2. Use Microsoft Office Mobile applications to review business documents wherever you happen to be. Or relax and listen to your favorite music, play video clips, or shoot and send photos right on your device. Please note: apparently some users have problems with Treo 750 in USA at Cingular - some call dropping occurs apparently - however these problems are not repeatable systematically so we cannot say for sure that there is any technical problem with this phone. We know of these problems, but since they cannot be repeated by all users in USA we can't claim that they occur in all units or even in all areas.
