Jason Langridge from Microsoft UK publishes fast questions and answers (FAQ) about Windows Mobile 6:
Q. What's new in Remote Desktop? Is it now integrated in Smartphone-Devices too? That would be great news!
A. Remote Desktop Mobile is not in Windows Mobile 6 Standard (Smartphone) - it is in Windows Mobile 6 Professional and Classic however.
In terms of features :
- Updated Terminal Services Client
- Additional localization
- WWE, CHS, CHT, KOR, and JPN
- 128 bit high encryption
- Custom port support
- Updated video support
- Full screen mode
- landscape VGA (640 x 480)
- Support for 16-bit and 24-bit color depths
- Audio redirection - hear sounds from your local machine on the device
- Unicode keyboard input as virtual keystrokes to the remote machine
- Auto-reconnect for temporary lost connections
As you can see in above example still touch-screen-less version of Windows Mobile is missing out on some features and generally the FAQ contains several items worth seeing.
