Live from CeBIT 2007 : O2 March 17, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. CeBIT coverage without O2 Xda news? So what, O2 announces Windows Mobile 6 powered HTC Herald (a first; aka O2 Terra) and an HTC Elf (a first too; aka O2 Nova) and msmobiles.com does not even mention it? While there were many Windows Mobile phones present at O2's stand at CeBIT 2007 and they were literally growing on the stand: 
... one had to beg O2 staff to get closer look at them! Acteually neither of these 2 new models were presented on the stand for general viewing and touching, apart from O2 Terra behind the glass (the one to the left): 
... that was presented, as you can see above, in "O2 Exclusive" line (together with LG Prada)! Here is a closer look at Xda Terra: 
... that generally is a thin, super cheap, Windows Mobile 6 powered phone with touch screen, that however lacks 3G (what is NOT a disadvantage for many people). O2 Nova was not presented at all. Conclusion: O2 (a small size European operator active in Germany, UK and Ireland, not to be confused with "O2 Asia") is still firmly commited to Windows Mobile and is selling several Windows Mobile phones, but when it comes to novelties, they didn't actually present anything wholly new at CeBIT 2007 - apart from the O2 Terra. Since O2 Europe sources Windows Mobile phones from HTC that delivers such phones also to competitors of O2, the situation is a bit complex and while HTC provides some level of exclusivity (period of time when given phone is on sale only at one place) for O2, clearly there are much bigger operators out there...
