Next month first Windows Mobile 6 powered phones will be released commercially so users expect no less from Samsung than full Windows Mobile 6 upgrade. However this upgrade for Samsung BlackJack is just a patch over old Windows Mobile 5.0: What Does The Software Update For My SGH-i607 (BlackJack) Change And How Can I Obtain This Update? Samsung has recently released a software update for the BlackJack, which is recommended to be installed. This update should enhance roaming capabilities, especially Internationally. In addition, there are cosmetic user interface changes (several icons have been changed) contained within the update. Conclusion: it is good to see that Samsung is taking care for customers but neither Samsung, nor any other manufacturer of Windows Mobile phones, will get around the fact that without Windows Mobile 6 ROM upgrade, their phones will become all of a sudden (next month) outdated...
