Samsung Blackjack i600v goes on sale in Australia
April 22, 2007 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R.

It is different from the Samsung i607 (known in USA as "Samsung BlackJack") because it has WiFi and a front camera.

Samsung Blackjack i600v is being sold by Vodafone Australia. The competing carrier in Australia - Telstra - started selling the Samsung i607.

Major gripe about Samsung i600/i607 is that it is not charging through USB cable when it is used as modem. One must put it into ActiveSync mode to obtain USB charging! Since this smartphone has HSDPA/UMTS it could be used as a broadband modem for your notebook but if this USB charging is not working then such usage is second to impossible. Other than these USB charging problems Samsung i600/i607 is a great smartphone with many great features like built-in podcast catcher, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, genuine scroll-wheel, Bluetooth...
