HTC released a new patch for 8525 May 01, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. It is not the widely expected Windows Mobile 6 ROM upgrade for 8525 from AT&T (operator formerly known as Cingular) but just a patch for Widows Mobile 5.0 ... 
Before you proceed, please confirm that this software upgrade is a newer version than is on your device. If it is the same version and your device is operating normally, there is no reason to upgrade. Refer to the image left and note the ROM version, CPU, and Radio Version. To check the software version on your phone, go to Start, Settings, Device Information. If your 8525 Pocket PC phone is older than version 2.15.502.3 then you need to upgrade!
