Information from BSQUARE follows. * * * * * BSQUARE SDIO Hx Product Now Supports High-Capacity Memory Cards to 32 GB for Windows Mobile Devices BSQUARE announced the availability of SDIO Hx version 1.1, the newest release of its ultra high-performance software stack for Windows Mobile and Windows CE devices. Version 1.1 features support for next-generation high-capacity memory cards. SDIO Hx version 1.1 is the only software stack with both Windows Mobile and Windows CE support for the new Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) standard defining high-performance memory cards from above 2 GB to 32 GB. As OEMs develop Smartphones, GPS devices, photo printers, card readers, and video cameras that require greater storage space for MP3 music files, high-resolution pictures, and video clips, demand for high-performance memory storage is increasing dramatically. Currently, a 4 GB memory card can store either 2000 digital songs or 4000 high-resolution pictures or up to 16 hours of MPEG 4 video – and with the new SDHC standard, minimum transfer rates are guaranteed.
