Vodafone SP 1210 (ASUS Halley) review May 09, 2007 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Vodafone SP 1210 has UMTS but no HSDPA, but it can serve the purpose of an affordable, low-end, 3G smartphone for your everyday needs. A complete review of the Vodafone SP 1210 (codenamed "ASUS Halley") has been published. The Vodafone SP 1210 is a 3G Windows Mobile smartphone produced by the Taiwanese manufacturer ASUSTeK under the codename Halley. Basically it is a device addressed solely to the corporate market, as it features a classic candybar type design, pretty "minimal art" style in places, and it's noteworthy for its extremely compact size. It's also lacking any form of picture or video capture peripheral. An Intel/Marvell 312 MHz CPU, inbuilt Bluetooth wireless connectivity, Windows Mobile 5 for Smartphone operating system, support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS mobile networks and plenty of Flash ROM memory make this apparently simple device a convenient choice for who needs a compact and lightweight device which also offers the essential functionality for work and productivity at an affordable price.
