Free upgrade for Windows Mobile 6 to be released soon for Samsung i600 May 20, 2007 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Samsung i600 is a European version of Samsung BlackJack and additionally offers Wi-Fi and 3G video calling camera. Samsung Germany will soon be offering upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.... ... that will be available under this address: http://de.samsungmobile.com/wcms/support/configurephone/index.jsp. This is official information from Samsung Electronics GmbH, Customer Communication Center, and since ROM images for MS Smartphone, unlike it is for Pocket PC phones, include several language versions in one ROM, one can assume that this upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 will be available also for English versions of Samsung i600! Apart from rather short battery life and inability to charge from PC when used as wireless modem, the Samsung i600 is an amazing smarpthone with QWERTY keyboard for single handed usage, built-in podcasting application, genuine BlackBerry-like scroll wheel and also HSDPA and Wi-Fi.
