Windows Mobile phone with 2 SIM cards or just a fake ? May 23, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. "Window Mobile" double SIM PDA phone? Not really! It is no secret that a lot of China made mobile phones are taking the advantage of branding themselves as "Windows Mobile" or "PDA" phones. Here is another example of such phone and its Chinese description says: 1. Double SIM card (a popular feature to house 2 SIM cards in 1 phone because many Hong Kong and Chinese people use 2 SIM cards at the same time, one for office the other for work) 2. Supports "Window Mobile" (please note lack of "s"! Not "Windows Mobile"!) 3. GPS 4. Video call 5. Internet 6. 3 inch QVGA touch screen 7. 2800mAH battery Price 2380 Hong Kong dollars (includes 1G T-flash/micro-SD memory card) To learn more or to see photo of this phone, click here. * * * * * Commentary: Microsoft should on one hand prevent Chinese no-name manufacturers from using "Windows Mobile" or even "Windows Mobile" logo in phones that have no Windows Mobile operating system and on the other hand these manufacturers should try to license real Windows Mobile platform for their phones... In any case: one must be careful when purchasing no-name product that "Windows Mobile" logo, including the symbol of Windows, is on the phone, before final buying decision... Credit: isomaniac.
