Zenum OPUS - sincere journalists need not to apply for test devices - available now for pre-order
May 23, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R.

Small Swiss company keeps saying it long enough in hope that at the end someone will believe it: Zenum OPUS phone, despite having no 3G, no GPS and slow processor, deserves premium price!

If one compares Zenum OPUS (to the left) with UBiQUiO 501 made by Tech Faith Wireless from China:

... then one can notice:
  • both these devices have exactly the same keys and connectors
  • they both don't have 3G and GPS
  • while UBiQUiO 501 is a low-cost low-end PDA phone, Zenum OPUS pretends to be high-end phone despite having low-end specifications
Conclusion: Zenum OPUS most likely is just a cheap Windows Mobile phone with touch screen produced by Tech Faith Wireless in China - but with a case that looks more stylishly.

If you are crazy enough to buy low-end phone for premium price (for which you can get a phone with GPS and 3G), then click here, where you can pre-order it and where additional information is available about this phone:

Operating System Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional

GSM/GPRS Tri-Band GSM 900/1800/1900MHz, GPRS Class 10/EDGE

OPUS offers an unparalleled combination of sleek design, high quality materials and mobile technology. Importantly, all factors are brought together in perfect harmony without compromising on any of them, which finally results in one of the most desirable QWERTY phones ever made.

Disclaimer: while we are happy that yet another Windows Mobile phone comes to the market we feel obliged to "keep it real" and to inform potential customers - particularly about companies that are issuing untrue or exaggerated claims. Also: clearly Zenum is not interested in objective reviews - as we learned from our own experience... Zenum has denied angrily a test device for our Switzerland-located correspondent - just because we dared to write openly about this outdated technologically device... Finally: every user should judge for himself/herself: the specifications are ultimate fact, that cannot be denied. The fact is also that Zenum OPUS is very pricey - 481 British pounds (what equals 704 euro or 948 US dollars) and for this price one can get 2.5 UBiQUiO 501 phones that has exactly same specifications or one 3G phone with built-in GPS...
