Windows Vista and Windows Mobile 6 will start talking again with each other - soon
June 04, 2007 [General] | By Edward J. R.
Windows Mobile Device Center that replaces ActiveSync in Windows Vista had several issues when it comes to connecting to Windows Mobile 6 devices. It is extremely strange that Microsoft cannot sort out such issues faster - one gets impression that Windows Mobile division of Microsoft is still not taken seriously by "big boys" within Microsoft - but at least users can be certain that the update is coming...
In the next few weeks, the Windows Mobile Device Center team will be launching an update to Windows Mobile Device Center 6.0. Aside from bug fixes and improvements over WMDC 6.0, the update (version 6.1) will include feature support for Windows Mobile 6 devices; this includes support for file synchronization on both touchscreen and non-touchscreen Windows Mobile 6 devices.
