MEDC 2007 starts tomorrow but registration open now June 24, 2007 [General] | By Edward J. R. Between years 1961 and 1989 a wall was dividing Berlin. Tomorrow, in a classy hotel Maritim ProArte, on the street through which this Berlin Wall was running, Microsoft's MEDC Europe conference takes place over next 2 days. MEDC Europe in past was taking place in various locations all over Europe, including even Disneyland Paris, but this time the location seems optimal due to central location of Berlin (very close to central location of both Europe and EU). 
(on image above: welcome banner of the conference above the reception desk of the hotel, where it takes place) MEDC conferences are mainly about introduction of latest Microsoft technologies to software developers, but they cover also, to a smaller extend (less than 20%), other topics like enterprise architecture, product demonstrations and device management and deployment. Each year the biggest and main MEDC conference takes place in USA (usually in Las Vegas) and much smaller MEDC conferences take place all over the world. This year the last MEDC in series is in Europe... ... and, as mentioned previously, this year this conference takes place in Maritim ProArte hotel in Berlin (here view from Dorotheen Street):
