Microsoft-paid report indicates: Windows Mobile cheaper in use than BlackBerry July 03, 2007 [General] | By Edward J. R. Just in case some companies would have yet doubts - whether Windows Mobile phones or RIM BlackBerry devices are better/cheaper for push email, Microsoft has ordered at Indian company Wipro - a report that, unsurprisingly, presents Microsoft as a better, cheaper solution: Analysis indicates that the TCO of the RIM BlackBerry 4.X environment will be consistently higher than for a similar Windows Mobile 5.0 MSFP solution. This difference will range from 28% more expensive for a 100 user base to 20% higher for a 10,000 user base. Enterprises planning to deploy mobile solutions should consider the following:
Conclusion: it would be better if an independent report would research issue of push email solutions. Report about Microsoft that is paid by Microsoft is not to be trusted.
