G900 Software Patch released by Toshiba July 21, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. No other Windows Mobile phone offers such display resolution as Toshiba G900 - 800x480 pixels, so this unique phone, also equipped with HSDPA and fingerprint sensor - can be a very powerful tool. While in past, at the time when Toshiba was offering Pocket PC PDAs, Toshiba was releasing Windows Mobile upgrades and patches very rarely, now it reacted very quickly and the patch that resolves the issue of non-working wake-up is available for download now: This patch is designed to resolve the issue of G900 devices failing to return to standby mode from deep sleep mode correctly, which some users have experienced and should only be installed by those who’ve encountered this specific problem. This patch can be installed onto your G900 either from an SD card or from the phone’s memory. Before installing the patch please ensure that your battery is at least half charged and whilst installing the patch please remember not to turn your phone off. You will need to first unzip the patch before installing it as it is not possible to install the zip file directly onto your G900. Please see the readme.txt file for full instructions on how to apply the patch. N.B Once installed the patch will be deleted if you perform a master reset on your G900.
