Rumor: Asus preparing HSDPA smartphone with super-sensitive GPS July 24, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Asus adds HSDPA (wireless broadband) and SiRF Star III powered GPS (the most sensitive one on the market currently) to feature set of their Windows Mobile phones... While previously Asus employee had confirmed to us that Asus makes no HSDPA phones yet and first HSDPA smartphones from Asus are coming Q4/2007 (see a video about it here - Q4/2007 for HSDPA is clearly mentioned there), it looks like it will change soon: This time its Asus who are rumoured to be releasing a new A-series Smartphone (named the Axxx?) featuring Windows Mobile 6 Professional, a Marvel 520 Mhz PXA27x CPU, 256 MB ROM and 128 MB RAM, GSM/GPRS/EDGE and HSDPA at 3.6 Mbps, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Not too bad I hear you say, well add to that integrated GPS (SiRF III), an FM radio and a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera To learn more, click here. Credit: Raymond Umbara.
