HTC releases at last officially Windows Mobile 6 ROM upgrade for flagship HTC TyTN phone August 02, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. It is available only for people, who own HTC branded version of HTC Hermes - called "HTC TyTN" but since some sites publish direct download links (working without registration) everybody, also users of operator-branded HTC Hermes phones can download it! To download it: ... users must go to HTC e-Club by clicking here (free registration and IMEI of HTC branded Hermes needed) or users can simply go to a page that lists all downloads, like for example here ( no registration needed; additionally you can find additional information there and you can ask questions about it). Until HTC Kaiser is out, the HTC Hermes is a flagship phone from HTC - that is relatively small and on top of that provides genuine scroll wheel, 1.8 Mb/s HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UMTS video calling. The fact that HTC is releasing this Windows Mobile 6 ROM upgrade proves that HTC cares more for having good long-term relationships with customers rather than selling maximum number of new phones with new version of OS. Please note: official release of Windows Mobile 6 ROM upgrade for operator-branded HTC Hermes phones is still unclear.
