Windows Mobile 6 Professional upgrade for UBiQUiO 501 phone released August 07, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Update: we have tested this ROM upgrade and it 100% works - Windows Mobile 6 OS works fine, Wi-Fi works and Office Mobile included supports Office 2007 documents! Whatever one would say about Expansys online store, one is for sure: they care about their end (!) customers, because they have just released Windows Mobile 6 ROM upgrade for their (rather old) UBiQUiO 501 phone despite the fact that they are selling also UBiQUiO 503 ! The "UBiQUiO" is a brand owned by Expansys itself while manufacturing is done usually by TechFaith Wireless company in China. UBiQUiO 501 is a very cheap Pocket PC phone with built-in Wi-Fi and QWERTY keyboard for single-handed usage so it was quite popular among people interested in such configuration, particularly cosidering that Palm Treo smartphones have no Wi-Fi and HTC is not making their own Pocket PC phones with QWERTY keyboard for single handed usage...
