MoDaCo propose generic Windows Mobile software updater September 04, 2007 [General] | By Paul O'Brien. ![]() If updating your software - either as an end user or a developer - is important to you, then you may be interested in a new proposal from Paul O'Brien at MoDaCo - the development of a generic Windows Mobile software updater. The planned application is detailed in this topic at MoDaCo. The proposal is for a free, independent, easy to use application that can be integrated with by developers with minimal effort, and with no need for a central database or time consuming central maintenance. The product is currently at the planning stage (all though as you can see initial development has begun), so now is a great time to get your voice heard. The project is particularly keen to hear from you if you are a software house or an independent developer, and you would like to support the application in your software - which can be achieved by adding a basic XML file to your application installer, and hosting the same XML file online. To find out more and to speak with the developer, head on over!
