Meet ETEN Glofiish M800 - like HTC Kaiser but with 4 times higher resolution ! October 07, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. While ETEN Glofiish X800 is still not on sale (it was presented at various trade shows already), a successor to this phone - with slide-out QWERTY keyboard - is being released! Interestingly it has almost all the features that HTC Kaiser (aka HTC TyTN II) has: built-in GPS, HSDPA, WiF, Bluetooth, 3G video calling, ... but it also has something that neither HTC Kaiser nor any other HTC phone can offer: VGA (640x480) display in a pocket-size device (!): Some specifications:
Conclusion: instead of releasing intermediary model - X800 - probably ETEN has decided to go for extended version with full QWERTY keyboard right away. However it must be noted that some phones from ETEN - notably M700 (predecessor to M800) couldn't use reliably GPRS at some mobile operators (for example at T-Mobile UK) and hopefully this issue will be resolved in M800...
