New Zeland, despite being quite a small country, has both GSM and CDMA networks and this smartphone is designed to work with CDMA:

Aside from Outlook, you can receive emails from your personal accounts (POP3 or IMAP4) or connect with the rest of the world using
the HTML web browser.
