Not only i-mate has totally redesigned their website - now: fully based on fancy Flash animations - but also some new phones appear in the lineup, including very interesting JAMA 201 that offers QWERTY keyboard for single-handed usage and VGA display (!!!) in one device! Here are the highlights of new (i.e. current) i-mate lineup:
- JAMA 201 : QWERTY keyboard for single-handed usage and VGA display in one device - the first Windows Mobile phone ever in this format. Powered by Windows Mobile 6. 2G phone with 300 MHz processor. No WiFi.
- JAMA 101 : touch-screen only, without QWERTY keyboard, rather low-end phone powere by Windows Mobile 6. No WiFi.
- JAMA : low-end phone powered by old version of Windows Mobile (5.0)
- Ultimate 6150 : 3G phone with VGA display and video output - only touch-screen, no keypad and no keyboard. WiFi built-in.
- Ultimate 8150 : 3G phone with VGA display and video output - touch-screen, with cellphone keypad . WiFi built-in.

While several i-mate phones feature VGA display, they are missing out on some crucial features (GPS always, WiFi sometimes), but if the pricing will be proper, then they may find many customers. Unfortunately still it is unclear when exactly all these phones wlil be commercially available.
