Review of Xda O2 Atom Life published October 28, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Actually there are 2 companies named "O2" - one located in the EU, owned by a Spanish company, and operating in the UK, Ireland and Germany, and the other operating in Asia and Oceania (including Australia). While O2 EU sticks to HTC and offers HTC products, it seems that O2 Asia has dumped HTC and is using Quanta as their manufacturer of O2-branded Windows Mobile phones. The latest phone resulting from this cooperation is Xda Atom Life: O2 Atom Life is made by quanta. The last HTC device which was branded by O2 was HTC universal. After that, O2 teamed up with quanta and released Atom followed by Atom Exec. Atom Life is the latest quanta device from O2. Both Atom and atom exec have been very popular Atom was, in fact, the first windows mobile device to offer FM radio built-in. Its successor Atom Exec used 192MB ROM. Atom Life offers 1GB ROM and runs the fastest processor available for windows mobile devices! Very few devices running windows mobile offer this much amount of memory and speed.
