PC Magazine announces the best Windows Mobile phones
November 10, 2007 [General] | By Edward J. R.
PC Magazine is a respectable paper publication with strong online presence and generally they can be trusted:
The hardware is catching up, too. Some of the latest Windows Mobile handsets have double the RAM of prior models, rendering one of the operating system's major flaws—poor memory management—a moot point. More devices feature 400 MHz processors, which we consider the minimum for a truly smooth Windows Mobile experience. Sure, Windows Mobile still isn't as quick and easy as Palm OS (or the iPhone), but plenty of people are finding it to be the best option—especially considering the wide range of available devices out there.
The best Windows Mobile phones according to PC Magazine are:
- AT&T Tilt / HTC 8925
- Motorola Q9m (Verizon)
- Motorola Q9h (AT&T)
- HTC Touch (Sprint)
- Samsung SCH-i760 (Verizon)
- Sprint Mogul
