Beta version of Zumobi for Windows Mobile to be released December 14th November 13, 2007 [General] | By Edward J. R. Sign-up available now. ZenZui start-up has changed its name to Zumobi and apparently is launching its "mobile platform for other platforms" very soon. Interestingly Beth Goza, who previously was working at Microsoft's Windows Mobile division and was taking care of Mobius event - works there now. Zumobi denotes "Zooming Mobile User Interface" and apparently is a platform that wants to compete with Flash: Zumobi takes accessing, retrieving, and sharing Web-based content beyond traditional mobile browsers. Through an intuitive, lush, high-framerate user interface called Tiles, Zumobi allows people to easily “bounce” in and out of snack-sized bits information they need throughout the day, and the targeted entertainment they enjoy, while offering advertisers a better way to connect with consumers through their mobile phones. Painful browser loading delays are thing of the past in the Zumobi experience, thanks to an advanced background data caching technology. Unlike browsers, background data caching also permits the user to interact with information and entertainment even when their phone is beyond wireless service, like on a plane or in a subway.
