Santek China - new company offering several models of Windows Mobile phones December 07, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. We have seen in past several Chinese and Taiwanese companies that were presenting their offering in the area of Windows Mobile phones but when asked (for example during trade shows) when and where they phones will go on sale, they were answering "we are searching for distributors" or "we are talking to some mobile operators we can't reveal yet" or something like that... and then their phone never made it to end users! Obviously there are some less-known manufacturers of Windows Mobile phones that are selling under obscure brands (like for example Tech Faith Wireless from China that is using brands like "Ubiquio") and that are relatively successful, but clearly only getting deals with mobile operators can lead to significantly bigger size of sales. Santek's offering is not breathtakingly good but it's interesting (it includes even a clone of HTC Touch): HIGHLIGHT:3.2' QCIF Large Screen, Windows Mobile 6.0,GPS SIR III, WIFI, EDGE, Slim Design.
