New Windows Mobile phone from Toshiba - G910 / G920 - approved by FCC in USA December 17, 2007 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Toshiba has been placing for some time (in Europe, not in USA yet) HSDPA modules from Novatel Wireless into their notebooks ("HSDPA 1.8" and "HSDPA 3.6") and Tablet PC computers and also Toshiba G500 and G900 Windows Mobile phones also were equipped with HSDPA (that is popular and available also in home country of Toshiba - Japan)... so Toshiba clearly is buiding strong competence in this area. Here comes yet another, 3rd Windows Mobile phone from Toshiba, that has different form factor than G900 and resembles the form factor of Nokia Communicator (when opened):
Recently Toshiba UK has sent to us an updated user manual of G900 and told us, that new models of Toshiba Windows Mobile phones are coming too... and here FCC reveals one of these new models! Since in past Toshiba used 3GSM World Congress to announced G900, it is almost certain that also this time the new Toshiba phones will be announced there - in February 2008 - although now this conference has been renamed to "Mobile World Congress" (click here to learn more about it). Since we will be at Mobile World Congress 2008 there on location - stay tuned for first hand reports about unveiling of new Toshiba phones! Source: FCC web pages.
