Ilium Software releases eWallet 6.0 with web access and announces cooperation with WebIS
December 18, 2007 [General] | By Edward J. R.

In the era when governments (example: in UK) are losing discs with millions of personal data about citizens, it is good idea to have your own secure and safe information storage - portable and inseparable from your Windows Mobile phone.

You may not trust your government with your private data, but you can trust your Windows Mobile phone with it for sure!

Julie Van De Water from Ilium Software writes:

So what's new in eWallet 6.0? Besides a great list of new features, we have two particularly exciting bits of news.

The first is that with the release of eWallet 6.0, we've launched a limited beta of the eWallet Web Companion. This is a web-based companion application that will let eWallet users view their eWallet information on any device with a web browser and internet connection, including an iPhone, iPod touch, Blackberry, and Nintendo Wii. Users can synchronize their data with the Web Companion and have instant – and secure - access to their wallets no matter where they are.

If you are interested in joining the eWallet Web Companion beta, please contact Marc Tassin, our Product Manager, to let him know. He will be able to set you up with a username and password. Marc's email address is: marc@iliumsoft.com.

Second, we're very excited to announce a new partnership with WebIS, to combine FlexWallet and eWallet into one program. eWallet 6.0 combines features of FlexWallet and eWallet, bringing greater security and more features to all of our users. We've worked together to create an easy migration path for FlexWallet users, including adding features like eWallet 6.0's new Flex View, a display format that emulates the FlexWallet grid style display, and automatic FlexWallet wallet conversion. All eligible FlexWallet licenses have been converted to eWallet licenses, so the same upgrade policies will apply to current registered users of both FlexWallet and eWallet.
