Asus M930W leaked - new Windows Mobile smartphone with flip form factor
December 25, 2007 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R.
The source of this information (GPSandCo) claims that this phone is powered by Windows Mobile 6 Professional what of course is total nonsense because all screenshots show Windows Mobile 6 Standard (the one for phones without touch-screen)... therefore it is not clear to what extend we can trust the other specifications of this phone:
- processor: Marvel PXA270M running at 520 Mhz
- tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 Mhz), GPRS, EDGE, 3G (2100 Mhz) and HSDPA at 3,6 Mbps
- ROM: 256 MB, RAM: 128 MB
- Wi-Fi 802.11b/g
- Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR
- camera: 3.2 megapixel with auto-focus
- MicroSD card slot compatible with SDHC
- Mini USB 1.1
To learn more, click HERE but keep in mind that above specifications may be false - if they can't get right the Windows Mobile version, they can get wrong everything else too. However the photos presented there are worth seeing (click on the small magnifying glass to get them zoomed).
Conclusion: Asus is consequently building its position as branded notebook manufacturer - it has both micro-notebooks (Eee PC) and Tablet PC notebooks in line-up too - but by the way Asus is extending its line of Windows Mobile phones that are being advertised often together with their notebooks. People who already own Asus notebooks should strongly consider purchasing one of Windows Mobile phones from Asus too!
