MapInfo MapX Mobile starts shipping (in Japan)

This toolset/libraries makes it possible to develop mapping applications with eMbedded Visual C++ 3.0 and eMbedded Visual Basic 3.0 - applications where you can browse maps fetched from the server and build some location aware software. Since it is possible to develop applications for MS Smartphone with eMbedded Visual C++ 3.0, it looks like MapInfo technology is realizable now also for MS Smartphones, but officially only Pocket PC is mentioned as a supported platform.
