Mobile World Congress 2008: Windows Mobile 6.1 to be announced on February 11, 2008, 3pm CET January 27, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. The first vital news item is exact time and place of Microsoft's press conference, where, most likely, the Windows Mobile 6.1 will be announced: 15:00-16:00 Microsoft Press Conference Microsoft Executive Meeting Centre Hotel Catalonia Plaza (organized by Microsoft Mobility Team at Weber Shandwick - a PR company that Microsoft uses) Most likely the main speaker will be Pieter Knook (the highest in hierarchy manager responsible for Windows Mobile and not for other unrelated divisions) together with some other top managers from Microsoft and Microsoft partner companies (operators and manufacturers). Hotel Catalonia Plaza, where Windows Mobile 6.1 will be unveiled, is located near the entrance to Mobile World Congress and is visible from the main alley of the fair grounds:
