Snap a photo and send it as a postcard (free until Feb 4)
January 29, 2008 [General] | By Tadd Rosenfeld.

Wish You Were Here is a service that allows you to send photographs taken on your Windows Mobile smartphone as postcards. Snap a picture, transmit it to them by e-mail or MultiMedia Messaging (MMS), and they will send it along with your message to any US address specified.

The service is free during a pre-release beta period ending February 4. Once officially launched, it will cost $1.99 per postcard, charged directly to your cellular phone bill. Wish You Were Here has billing arrangements with most major US carriers, and expects European carrier agreements soon.

We caught up with a founder and venture capitalist behind Wish You Were Here. Hear directly from them about the benefits of their service in our exclusive video, and check out their WYWH.mobi website with instructions.
