France gets Windows Mobile with DVB-T television - GIGA-BYTE GSmart T600 March 21, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Those lucky Frenchmen - not only (allegedly) they have the best food in the world, but now also the Windows Mobile phone with DVB-T (digital terrestrial TV standard for Europe - in UK known as "FreeView") from GIGA-BYTE Communications ... in Euro 2008 football championships (that take place in June 2008 in Austria and Switzerland) France will have to face Netherlands and Italy in their group, so certainly many Frenchmen would find use for this phone - watching how France is leaving Group C to semi-finals... In second half of summer 2008 also E-TEN (now owned by Acer) is launching a Windows Mobile phone with DVB-T and already now LG is selling a regular (not a smartphone) phone with DVB-T too... so market in this area is getting crowded...
