Daylight Saving today in Windows Mobile phones! March 30, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. If you have Windows Mobile phone, then, depending on what time zone is set in your phone, you have probably seen this message today morning:
... but if you haven't then ... ... maybe you should change it manually or learn more at Microsoft's page about Daylight Saving in Windows Mobile! In order to save energy, the Daylight Saving has been introduced and clocks go forwards or backwards to reduce energy usage for lighting. The problem lies in this that not all countries, let alone not all time zones, are using the same day to switch time because of Daylight Saving. While in most cases everything will be OK and Windows Mobile phone will change time for you (see image above), it may happen that after you will synchronize with your PC the clock in your phone will show wrong time... so we advice additional caution and reading above article from Microsoft!
