Review of HTC P3470 published March 30, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. HTC P3470 is a low end Windows Mobile phone with touch-screen and built-in GPS. It is really low-end and indeed has slow processors and doesn't have neither 3G nor WiFi. Is it any good at all? The answer is "no, it is overpriced": he lack of 3G and WiFi is a bit of a disapointment which is only offset slightly by the integrated GPS. I feel that over £300 may be a bit too high to really consider the HTC P3470 a 'budget' device. Using the device as my day today phone, I've had no major problems or gripes, the P3470 has been stable and has not required a soft reset during the two weeks that I've used it. The GPS works well with the bundled TomTom 6 software but works equally well with Google Maps. To learn more visit HTC P3470 review. Commentary: it is annoying that HTC is not making Windows Mobile phones with front-facing QWERTY keyboard and touch-screen - the form factor that is very much in demand. The rationale behind it is that HTC counts on deals from big brands for phones in this form factor... but on the other hand it discourages people from buying HTC phones. HTC P3470 is yet another unimpressive HTC phone. Clearly having dominating market position in Windows Mobile area has spoiled HTC... Credit: Matt.
