HTC strikes again with censorship March 31, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. It is good, that Windows Mobile powered Nokia phone is coming, because it looks like HTC is abusing its dominating market position (it manufactures over 80% of all Windows Mobile powered phones by now, including Sony Ericsson Xperia X1): We have got this message from Google-owned (where is "Do No Evil!" when you need it?) YouTube division: This is to notify you that we have removed or disabled access to the following material as a result of a third-party notification by HTC ... and now when one tries to access this video the following message comes: This video is no longer available due to ... HTC The video removed was entitled "HTC Manila - sucessor to HTC TouchFLO ?" and contained our review of upcoming user interface extension from HTC. If HTC would ask us, directly, we would understand it and remove this video immediately, but instead HTC is using threatening tactics by using third parties again. Not good.
