Windows Mobile 6.1 phones presented by Microsoft at CTIA 2008 April 05, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. Here are the phones that are already powered by newly released Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and that were presented by Microsoft itself (note new manufacturers like Velocity Mobile and lack of some old manufacturers like i-mate): Here is Amoi 6711 that will be sold among others by Vodafone in Europe (note Vodafone branding!):
Here is E-TEN V900 that has both GPS and mobile TV (very rare combination):
Here are new phones from Velocity Mobile, the Velocity 103:
... and Velocity 111:
HTC Touch Dual is not new but it will be sold with Windows Mobile 6.1 too:
The Mitac Mio Lovebird looks like iPhone:
Previously TechFaith Wireless company was making phones for others but it looks like now they offer their own branding too and here comes TechFaith Vista 850:
And here comes Samsung i780 that recently went on sale with Windows Mobile 6 but it will be available soon also with Windows Mobile 6.1:
Conclusion: it not quite clear why Microsoft says that full Internet browser in Windows Mobile 6.1 will be available in second half of 2008 and whether the early version of Windows Mobile 6.1 phones will not have this full Internet browsing, but clearly already several new and some older phones are powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 and effectively Windows Mobile 6 is now an outdated "old" version!
