SlingPlayer for Windows Mobile updated April 30, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. Remote TV viewing with SlingBox now with improved video streaming quality... Dave Zatz from SlingMedia writes to us: We’re happy to announce new versions of SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Mobile PocketPC (1.6), Windows Mobile Smartphone (1.6), and Symbian S60 (1.1) are available today. SlingPlayer Mobile, of course, allows folks to watch and control their home television programming from anywhere in the world (*Internet connection required;) via a Slingbox. These new versions add support for additional handsets (Nokia N95 8GB, Samsung i760, Treo 500v are some examples), improved video streaming quality on select handsets (Sprint HTC Mogul is an example), add support for additional set-top boxes, provide additional channel favorite logos, and we've made a few under the hood tweaks. Current SlingPlayer Mobile customers are entitled to a free upgrade. New customers are offered a free 30 day trial, then SlingPlayer Mobile is a one-time $30 (USD) fee. In addition to these mobile OSes, we also offer SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS - plus Symbian UIQ and Blackberry support will be available later this year.
