Official biography of Horace Luke

Horace Luke is the new HTC super-star and a design visionary of HTC and holder of the official "Chief Innovation Officer" title!



So here is his official (provided by HTC) biography:

Horace Luke joined HTC in 2006 as chief innovation officer. In this role he reports directly to the chief executive officer and is responsible for advanced breakthrough product concepts and designs across a broad portfolio of devices.

Horace has a proven track record of hardware and software innovation and design in the area of advanced consumer and communication electronics. Prior to joining HTC, Horace worked at Microsoft for nearly ten years in a number of key product design and innovation roles, the most recent being the creative director of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile product group.

At Microsoft Horace played a key role in the development of state-of-the-art hardware businesses and numerous product concepts including PDAs, phones and a variety of consumer products including the creative concepts around the original Xbox. He was also an integral member of the team that launched Microsoft Windows XP. Prior to joining Microsoft, Horace worked at Nike as a senior designer on its corporate image design and brand strategy team, where he was charged with developing brands for athletes and numerous product lines.

He holds both a BFA Industrial Design and a BA General Arts, Sculpture from the University of Washington.
