Yes, it is good. You don't believe? Just look at this image:
So now do you understand? With HTC Touch Diamond such thing would not happen!

Since official launch of the HTC Touch Diamond many people were complaining, that it is unacceptable that this phone doesn't have memory card slot, even though it has built-in 4GB flash memory - on top of 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM.
Here are the reasons why it is actually good that HTC Touch Diamond has no memory card slot:
- thanks to the lack of memory card slot, users are getting 4GB memory, while nowadays most popular and cost-effective microSD card is just 2GB
- 4GB is more than enough for majorty of users, just for the comparison's sake: TomTom maps of the whole USA and of the West EU each have "just" 900 MB
- another possible place for mechanical failure has been removed - in some phones it is recommended to insert and remove the memory card only once, because if the card is being removed more often (for example for the sake of exchanging data) then the mechanism of the memory card slot is breaking and then one cannot use memory card at all!
- users can safely execute programs inside of this phone, without the need to be afraid that all of a sudden, for some reason (mechanical wobbling, software error, power saving function, etc), storage card will be removed (physically or software-wise) and thus execution of programs will be disturbed and some data may be lost (see image above)
Conclusion: it is actually good that HTC Touch Diamond has no memory card slot!
