SoftMaker Office 2008 for Windows Mobile with touch-screens released June 03, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. All Windows Mobile phones nowadays already have Office Mobile from Microsoft - built-in into operating system, and although SoftMaker Office 2008 does not support new file formats of Office 2007, it offers some nice features that Office Mobile from Microsoft does not offer, including: exporting to PDF files! SoftMaker Software GmbH company claims also that their product conveys more formatting than Microsoft's own Office Mobile: In an ideal world, you could create a file in Microsoft Office on your desktop computer, put it on your Pocket PC, edit and format it on the road, and then send it back to the office, with content and all formatting still intact. Unfortunately, it does not work that way. Microsoft's Office Mobile is, after all these years, still not able to reliably open Microsoft Office files without massive data loss – all functions and formatting that it does not know, are silently stripped and thrown away. After Office Mobile touched them, many files share only a distant resemblance with their older versions. To learn more visit product page of SotMaker Office 2008 for Windows Mobile.
