Paragon Software Group and ASUSTeK Bring Award-winning Handheld Technology to Eastern European Market

Hungarian Localization Package to Come Pre-installed on ASUS P750 and P527 GPS Smartphones

Paragon Software Group, developer of innovative software applications for mobile devices and PC desktops, announces the release of a Hungarian localization package on the newest generation of ASUS smartphones. The agreement between Paragon and ASUSTeK Computer Inc., a leading provider of high-performance handheld devices, will enable full native interface translation, text input and handwriting recognition in the Hungarian language on ASUS P750 and P527 GPS smartphones through a preinstalled Paragon software bundle.

Localized for Hungarian, the package allows full translation of the interface, onscreen and hardware keyboards in Hungarian, as well as allows the user to conveniently switch between Hungarian and English. Also, included in the bundle is Paragon’s PenReader multilingual handwriting recognition software, enabling handwriting recognition text input in the Hungarian language. PenReader does not require special training or adjustment to one’s handwriting, and will be ready to use as soon as the device is turned on, making work on the P750 or P527 device more comfortable and effective.

“ASUSTeK is well-known for its high-quality mobile offerings, and this package represents the quality of Paragon’s continued partnership with ASUS in value-added software,” said Dmitry Bekhterev, chief of sales and business development department of Paragon Software Group. “Paragon collaborated intensely with ASUS to help bring the best possible mobile computing experience to Eastern Europe.”

The Hungarian-optimized ASUS P750, released in 2007, and ASUS P527, showcased at CES 2008 in Las Vegas, represent the newest in a series of offerings in the partnership between ASUSTeK and Paragon Software Group. The ASUS P750, winner of the 2007 Japan G-Mark Award, provides 3.5G high-speed network coverage, complete business applications and total connectivity to HSDPA, Bluetooth, WiFi, USB and GPS networks. The P750 has a built-in GPS antenna and runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional. The ASUS P527 took home the prestigious CES Innovation Design and Engineering award for 2008, and features a built-in GPS antenna and FM radio. Both models offer Travelog, enabling users to record travel routes and export data to Google Earth, and Location Courier, an S.O.S. feature enabling a user to send a GPS position via SMS to five preset phone numbers in case of an emergency.
