Reading websites is fine and dandy, but the reality is that usually you cannot convey emotions in text only, but if you listen to a talk on some topics then, and only then, you can get idea what are the feelings about various issues.
Furthermore in podcasts - audio files accessible also through RSS feeds - you can find information simply not available at all elsewhere, so it is worth listening to them! You can also do other things - commute to work, do jogging, working - while listening so it is also a very effective way to learn new information!
