Opera Mobile 9.5 coming to all end users in the middle of July June 27, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. The only way to get Opera Mobile 9.5 now is to buy HTC Touch Diamond or the new HTC Advantage, in which this browser is embedded. Opera is not offering this browser for individual users for purchase yet and we have started to worry that it will never be released to end users and it will be offered only to manufacturers... but our worries are over: We have some exciting news to share today. It's almost time to release Opera Mobile 9.5 for Windows Mobile to the world. We thank you for your patience and support as we make what we (and many others) believe is the best browser for mobile phones. A release testing phase is underway now and the target date for the first beta is July 15th. You will be able to download it from opera.com just like you would any other versions of Opera. Opera Mobile 9.5 will be based on the same browser engine as Opera 9.5 for desktop, and this is the reason why it has taken some time to get it ready. A new version of the browser engine will ensure that you can surf the Web with a browser supporting the latest and greatest in Web standards. To learn more read related message from Opera. Note: Opera Mobile 9.5 is not the only Internet browser that offers full web browsing: also NetFront 3.5 offers full Internet browsing and can even handle some web pages, that Opera Mobile 9.5 cannot handle. It is also worth mentioning that Opera Mobile 9.5 inside of HTC Touch Diamond is very well integrated and offers not only automatic orientation switching with use of tilt sensor but also gradual zooming with use of the touch-wheel of HTC Touch Diamond.
